With the arrival of the Tour de France in Morzine just 10 days away, the whole village has gone polka dotty, with the red dots of the King of the Mountains jersey decorating the buildings, the ground, the sky - everything!
Stage 20 of the 2016 Tour de France is on Saturday, July 23, 2016. It is the very last grueling competitive stage, the last chance for the riders to make a difference before they head to Champs Elysées the next day. The stage is 146.5 kms, long and leads from Megève to Morzine, taking in no fewer than four killer col climbs. Approaching Morzine, the riders head up towards Les Gets but then cut left to tackle the Col de Ramaz, taking them back down to Taninges. They then go though Samoens and head onto the Col de Joux Plane, passing over the tops of the Les Gets ski pistes on their way over to Morzine.
The stage heads off from Megève at 1:00 pm local time and the riders are expected to finish in Morzine at around 5:20 pm. Huge excitement and a great atmosphere guaranteed! Where will you watch from? Grab your polka dots and get out there!
